Booze and youth mixed with high emotion, and a literal unprecedented confluence of events that never happened before an will almost certainly never happen again triggered an ugly scene carried out by a minority. Never seen or heard of anything even remotely close to that ever happening before or since.

You and my friend have chosen to see this as an indictment of the Cubs and all Cub fans. That's your right. I can say all of my reasons for hating various teams vary so I can't begrudge.

Yeah I wonder what would happen if LSU was playing in the national championship and (i know this can't happen) a fan interfered with an LSU TD catch that would have sealed the game, and then they went on to lose. I'm sure the LSU fans would be nice and respectful. Hell the band can't even play songs now because they can't refrain from chanting "suck that tiger dick"
