I researched the weboost a little bit. It seems to be designed to bring good reception right outside of your building that has poor reception inside via two devices connected by coax. I don't believe it will amplify a signal that is already weak outside of your building.

Well that blows. The Amazon reviews I've read on the trucker one seem a little more positive than that re boosting weak signal on the road.
I'm gonna bite bullet and if it sucks just use the 30 days.
Eta: did it. Taking it to Cape San Blas (St Joe Peninsula SP) and installing on truck or truck camper. Will report back. Hopefully from campsite....
