Yep. And the other crazy stat is that they would've defeated NINE ranked teams. And that's based on the final top 25. That just doesn't happen.

Would've been quite a legitimate argument for GOAT.

It would not have been an argument. LSU would have beaten THREE otherwise undefeated teams from major conferences, plus the Big East champion. And the Bama game was the only game all year decided by less than 13 points. There's not another team in history that would even be worth discussing for GOAT status.
