I love dogs. I really do. But they are not humans. If your wife can't tolerate a dog that pisses in the house constantly, and there is no alternative, then you need to get rid of the dog. And yes, it's possible that the dog will be euthanized. That is part of the hard realities of life.

The truth about "no kill shelters" is that when they are full, they send the extra animals, usually the least likely to be adopted animals, to the SPCA, where they will likely be euthanized. At least they aren't the ones that are killing them, right? That's part of the harsh realities I'm talking about.
