I agree in general, and I own 2 dogs. But I don't see why it would be so hard to find a no kill shelter? Granted, I have no experience with that.

The truth about "no kill shelters" is that when they are full, they send the extra animals, usually the least likely to be adopted animals, to the SPCA, where they will likely be euthanized. At least they aren't the ones that are killing them, right? That's part of the harsh realities I'm talking about.
