I know this will come as a shock to you...there is a good likelihood that you have never played ball or certainly not at a high level. But sometimes players look much better in practices than others, and others excell in game situations. It is a very common phenomenon. I saw it years back with Jamie Howard and Chad Loup. Jamie would kick his arse every practice, but had an almost 10% lower completion percentage in games. Hallman never would acknowledge this, and he got ran out on a rail due in part to it. It took an entire 5 quarters for Les to realize that Brandon wasn't performing in game situations like he does in practice. 5 quarters. You guys are acting like it was years that he had Etling behind Brandon before giving him a chance.
