New here, but I've long enjoyed LSU football. I have a serious question in regards to the Harris-Etling situation: If Etling couldn't get it done in the Big Ten, what makes some think he'll magically catch on in the SEC?

Sure, the SEC isn't as strong as it's been in the past, but the level of competition across the board is undeniable. I think Etling will be serviceable, but it's as if some think he's going to lead the team to the promised land. Let's not forget Les is ultimately at the controls, which will, to some extent, hamstring Etling.

I'd like to see Etling succeed, but expectations seem quite high for a kid who posted underwhelming numbers in a lesser conference.

Every game there are WRs wide open that BH would miss. If DE can simply find those and from what we've seen so far he can, then LSU will have viable passing offense.

Because he's surrounded by elite talent at LSU, arguably the best in college football. At Purdue he was surrounded by players nowhere near this level. Get it? That's why all he has to do is be a smart QB and let the horses run, just don't get in the way.
