tuition alone at st aug cost more than all cost at LSU in Shreveport or new orleans. I know this because i was accepted to all three programs and had the numbers in front of me. Its not even close.

How else do I need to explain it? The cost of tuition at St. Aug is higher. But when considering the length of the program and 6 months of additional income, and in our case starting 3 months earlier allowed for 9 months of income vs. LSUHSC. At that point it became nearly a wash in the cost.

Wife was accepted to New Orleans, St. Aug, and UTMB.

Very true about rent prices. I rented a house in St Aug Shores for me, wife, 2 kids for less than $1,000 per month.

FWIW, St Aug tuition has more than quadrupled since I was there. That might be a game changer if I were applying today.
