The existing 1/2 cent tax WILL build those projects as promised just on a slower timeline. I think the intent here is to build more projects at the same time than what was originally intended since the city's population has been growing increasingly impatient.

Honestly it is time for the state to look at a Highway Use tax and ban road taxes funded via real estate mills.

I lived in a state that charged 3% of the vehicle's value annually and used the money to improve roads within that person's region. This would take the burden of payment off real estate property owners and place a shared responsibility on all registered car owners.

I do not like forcing land owners to pay for something everyone uses.

Keep the Millages on commercial and Industrial properties but eliminate assessments on residential lots
