Not very valuable, but I have a Winchester model 67 ss .22 that my great grandfather gave my dad in the mid '40's. He had given him a fiddle as a small child, but he never learned to play it and as times were pretty lean then, they couldn't afford lessons. He traded the fiddle for the rifle (used) and that started a lifetime of hunting. My dad turns 74 this year and still enjoys the outdoors like a youngster.
I learned to shoot very young with it, and killed several rabbits and squirrels. It probably won't have much meaning to him, but my son learned how to shoot iron sights from the back porch with it when he was 5, and hopefully will keep it for his son.
