It was somewhere around 2011-2012 when these gangs of "good kids" started coming in this area specifically to beat the shite out of some white kids; I don't remember it being so blatant before that (got there in '06).

I remember they had a few weekends in a row in '12 where these kids were ambushing cars with white people in them by putting shite in front of their path so they had to get out the vehicle in the burbank/highland area where it used to get pretty dark at night. Heard it happened one weekend and then the next weekend, someone I knew got put in hospital in exact same scenario.
