Etling ran the offense efficiently. There appeared to be no communication breakdowns which seem to happen way too much with Les Miles run offenses. You already mentioned good pocket presence. He is also the most accurate QB on the LSU sideline this year. He can actually hit a receiver 7 yards away. Another point, Etling was fundementally sound at the QB position. Notice during hand offs to the backs Etling stayed committed to QB fundementals by finishing the play by faking the play action while the RB take the ball between the tackles. This is so important because it freezes the LB for a split second which helps to create better running lanes for our running backs.

I hope we stop the toss dive now. It does nothing in terms of faking out the defense. Everyone and their mother can sell out to stop the run on that play. It's just a dumb play that gives the defense total advantage.

I don't have a problem with the toss dive - but I do running it on 40% of our plays.
