Someone posted a stat yesterday about "no more excuses" comparing the number of 4/5*s for LSU (40+) and Wisconsin (8+).

Yes, but Wisconsin had 25+ Wisconsin all-state players and LSU didn't have any. :)

<- After Wisconsin beat Kentucky in the NCAA semi-final in '15, Bo Ryan when asked about beating Kentucky's 9 McDonalds All-Americans with a bunch of three and four star players said something about Kentucky not having seven Wisconsin all-stars. ->

Seriously, the talent level was much closer than recruiting guru rankings would indicate. I concede that LSU has more talent, but it's far closer than counting stars would indicate.

I explained that here:

I would also say that much of Aranda's defensive coaching is still benefiting the Wisconsin defense.

I'll take the number of players on NFL rosters over recruiting rankings and your opinion.

LSU - 45
UW - 26

LSU is pipeline to the NFL. We have more players in the NFL than any other college team. It's been this way for years and we haven't won anything significant in years other than the outlying 2011 season where TM almost single handedly won us a couple of games where the offense was inept as it still is. We're just a very poorly coached team.
