Pirates can't stop pissing in the wind this year. Win a big series, then get swept. Win a couple of series, only a half game out, get swept. Win 6 in a row, lose 8 of 10, etc. So annoying.

Really enjoyed watching Cutch, starting following them about 5 years ago or so. It was the year before they made their first playoff push. They were really fun to watch. Then by a coincidence, my job sent me to work a project for 10 months about an hour and a half south of Pittsburgh. I love the city, went to PNC and it was amazing and I have gay feelings for Starling Marte. It's a great match, especially because I have a feeling they're going to probably start sucking again in the near future so it'll be a lot like being a Saints and Pelicans fan which is where I'm most comfortable.

watching cole and cutch struggle has been enormously frustrating.
the way they choked coming out of the break w/ a pretty easy slate of games ahead of them was terrible.
the game monday was the season in a microcosm -- fight back, in a position to win, piss it away when guys that shouldn't struggle do in a bad spot. have a chance to bust it wide open w/ bases loaded, no outs, up 3-0 and SRod strikes out, you get a run from JHay but you know it's not enough and we get a 4th inning of the Jeff Locke relief experience.
One at bat away and one pitcher away from doing what you need to do, but just short.
they'll end up over .500 and a game out of the playoffs and kick themselves over missed opportunities -- just like last year.
