Well-done and written review, I'm probably done with AIs in my travels but I must admit that the higher end ones, when they are run efficiently, can be very good.

8 Nights @ $4,500 works out to under $300 pp per night with airfare & transfers, not bad value for a premium Cancun AI resort and a premium room.

Thanks again for posting this, glad you all had a good time.

Yea, that is everything included as well. Roughly $800 for our flights, $100 for transportation and $150 for insurance. We book through a friend who works for Apple Vacations.

Our total was $4948 so if you take away the other items, its roughly 3900 for 8 nights in a swim out suite with a king bed. The swim out room is about $50 a day more than a basic junior suite. So thats $487 per night for a swim out which is very good for that type of room and place

We did go in August and the resort was about 70% booked., They claim that is pretty normal for August since it is the off season. Same for other places in the caribbean we have visited. It will be higher in the winter or spring.

What we did notice is that there are more American visitors in Mexico where as when we go to Turks or Punta Cana, its more Europeans. So you are more likely to see a guy wearing a Budweiser shirt in Mexico and more likely to see a fat European wearing a speedo in Punta Cana. Choices
