He really wouldn't be in trouble without this though. His base salary is fully guaranteed for the year. Even if he sucks, he's coming off surgery and he was having problems with his arm all through camp, no reason to cut him and still pay him just to move Christian Ponder up the depth chart, or trade for Sanchez. He's only thrown 8 passes all offseason, so if he comes out next week and is anything above terrible, on talent and reputation he should easily make the roster.

Only way for him to get cut is by causing non-football problems. And it doesn't even get him any extra money.
