The world turned into a better place when my mother passed on. It will even be a better place when my older brother joins her in hell.

As for in-laws, I got relieved of that burden after the divorce. My ex-wife had wonderful parents. Aside from the flaw of being Southern Baptist and actually taking that a little too seriously, they were really neat folks. My ex's sisters took after them on the Southern Baptist thing even more. They were good in school, and went to church. Aside from that, they couldn't boil water and weren't fit to frick. Both of them married Southern Baptist ministers who were dumbasses in their own right - not because they were Southern Baptist, but because they were just dumbasses living in a very naïve existence. Glad I got out of all of that.

Brother is 73, time's on my side. I keep reminding him that he is about three or four years away from a nursing home or grave yard. Freaks him out every time. I normally don't like fricking with people's heads, but I make an exception in his case for all the trouble he stirred up in the family in earlier years. His own son can't even stand him.
