I don't see how some people can't understand this. Why in the hell are people required to have a chunk of their paycheck allotted to support government programs that don't offer them anything in return?

This isn't people asking for a handout. It's people asking for a return on the money they've been sending in year after year.

I dont get it either. The whole 'oh all yall do is bitch about govt handouts on here' is bullshite. I see no problem with someone that has been working and paying taxes for 30 years to get help in this situation.

Louisiana already gets a "return" in excess of what we pay in federal taxes.

FEMA money is a handout. It's ok. I'm not opposed to it. But call it what it is.
