Picking LSU relative to everyone else is not exactly going out on a limb. We're going to be legit good.

Love Bruce, he's one of the best in the biz year in and year out. It's been clear reading his preview content all summer that he loves him some LSU this year. Has us at or near the top in almost every positional group ranking.

He has us going 11-1 and beating Bama. So which game is the best bet for a loss? I have three potentials:
@ Florida
@ Arky
@ A&M
I think maybe the best bet of the three might just be A&M. I think we'll be just hitting our stride by the time we get to Florida. That will be a dogfight, but we've had a lot of success in the Swamp since 2002 (4-3). Also, I think the guys will be ultra focused at Arkansas this year given the last two duds against them.
So, if we get to College Station 11-0 and with the West already locked up (assuming Bama is the only other one loss team and we have the head to head over them), I can see the team being maybe slightly less focused and worn down by the November grind. I can see the Aggies being extremely geeked up to get their monkey off the back against us, and I do think they will be much better than people think they will be this year. The Chavis D should be humming by the end of the year, and they should have the offense in gear under Knight.

Im going to guess Florida. I would rather it be arky though, would hate for it to be A&M
UF will be a big prime time matchup bc of our schedules and where it falls in the season. Arky won't be as watched, and they aren't a recruiting threat.

I disagree. The "chalk" pick is Bama. Very few actually predict we win the West. We're sort of the, "if not Bama it will be LSU" type pick.
So nice to see a national guy cast his lot with us.

I get the concern, it's always a grind, but the fact that we have a directional school before A&M is huge. Gives us a big break in November that we've needed the past few years. So I think we'll be ready for Aggie. The Chavis factor will certainly keep the D focused and even our offensive stars seem to enjoy showing Noil a few things.
So, I think fatigue will be much more of an issue in October than November this year.
I also kind of disagree that we'll just be hitting our stride for Florida. I think this veteran team storms out of the gates with big wins over Wisconsin on Gameday, MSU in Tiger Stadium at night, and at Auburn (Harris will be very ready for this one), and another big showing at home against Missouri.
Then we go to Florida for our sixth straight game, which is actually when I see us possibly slowing down a bit. That will be an incredibly tough battle, but UF will not have had a bye either and coming off a two game road trip to UT and Vandy. I think we get out of the Swamp with a W.
What scares me most is Ole Miss. We have a timely matchup with Southern Miss to heal up after Florida, but it will still be our eighth straight week playing. That's tough no matter how you break it down.
Ole Miss has a bye week two weeks before, but does have a road trip to Arkansas the week before our game. That will be a huge payback game for them given the ending of last years game, so hopefully they shoot their wad a bit before coming into BR, because I could see us struggling to the finish line and the bye week in that one.
