I just tried Brigsten's last weekend. I thought it was truly great.
They have a seafood platter that I think everyone should try. It's not a plate of fried food, but something similar to tapas. I think it may change a bit depending on the day but it's mostly the same. 3 of our group of 6 got it and all loved it.
The star of the dish was a fried drum topped with crab meat. Loved this.
There was a baked Oyster LeRuth cooked in one of the steel oyster plates. On another of the oyster shell/plates was a scallop cooked with some sauce and asparagus. Both really good.
There was a shrimp on top of a cole slaw with some flavor. There was another shrimp that was baked into something...not sure what it was. It was the size of a small shot glass and the shrimp was nestled half in and half out of it.
The most surprising was the jalapeno cornbread with shrimp in it. It came out with a pat of butter cut into it that quickly melted.
I had a gumbo for an app and it was pretty good. Dessert was pecan pie with a caramel sauce. There's a plate that is covered in their caramel sauce with the pecan pie on top. A little too rich for me but everyone else raved about it.

I love the seafood platter there.
This was particularly good when I had it with crawfish. It's in a ramekin and sort of like spoon bread. It's not an actual piece of cornbread.
I have an unhealthy addiction to the pecan pie dessert. I agree that it's rich, but it sure is good. It's a good dessert to share.
