I haven't changed my own oil 15 years. I've had multiple cars/ trucks and all were going strong with well over 100k miles when I sold them. My last Tundra had 260k and my current one has 130k with no issues whatsoever. I know I'm paying a premium to not have to bother with it so I'd say it's definitely not a scam.

What is your point? I had a honda accord that I changed the oil twice. Yes twice. I sold it with 190,000 miles. The only issue I ever had besides tires and battery was the AC went out
