PFT-
Steelers tight end Ladarius Green has not been missing practice due to his surgically repaired ankle but rather because of recurring headaches, NFL Network reported Thursday.
Green has not practiced, in the spring or this summer, with his new team. He remains on the physically unable to perform list, and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has said little about the situation.
Speculation has mounted regarding the possibility that the Steelers may have to plan to play without Green.
Green had two concussions in an 11-day span last September with the Chargers. The cause of his recent headaches is unknown.
The Steelers, who signed Green in March, are concerned about Green and about their tight end situation. The group behind Green consists mostly of young and unproven players, and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said recently that he needs to see more from that group.
----avoided another Jairus Byrd?
