re: 300 blk out questions....

there are much better options for calibers and rifles for deer hunting. Yes it's possible to kill a deer with a 300blk but it's got the muzzle energy of a .357 mag in the subsonic weights and misses the muzzle energy of the 7.62x39 by around 400 ft lb IIRC in the super sonic weights.

Alot of people like to use hunting activities as an excuse to get/build a 300blk, but I personally would choose something else. Remember the 300 blk was chiefly commissioned to replace the suppressed 9mm sub guns. In the super sonic category they were looking to mimic the 7.62x39 ballistics, which in my opinion they hit the first mark and missed the second.
