Do the baking soda recommendation and be patient. Even change the soda over time. I once bought a vintage guitar amplifier that was solid as a rock but had been gigged 40 years and smelled like stale beer and cigarette smoke (not in a cool way). I kept putting those baking soda boxes for refrigerators inside the cabinet with the soft cover on and in a few months the smell was gone.
