If you're exhausted it's pretty easy. There's not much that can keep someone awake in that case. It's happened to me before. It's like you blink and it's almost impossible to open your eyes back up. Almost ended bad for me once. I was literally 3 minutes from the house when I dozed off. Veered towards the side of the road and smoked a curb on the perimeter of the gas station. Blew out my tire.

Despite that holy shite moment, I still almost dozed off again in the mile between there and the house. If your body is exhausted and needs to shut down, it's going to shut down.

If I feel it coming on now, I stop driving. Don't care if I have to park on the side of the interstate and sleep. Almost did that coming back from the Alabama/Tennessee game last year but luckily passed a gas station when it started to hit me and pulled in there and napped
