I'd love to hear how he is arguably better than Ruth, Williams, Bonds, Musial, Gehrig, Mantle, Mays, etc etc.
His career OPS+ of 118 is tied for 418th all time. His career OPS of .784 is good for 571st all time.
Not even looking at the all time greats, he doesn't even stack up to a guy like Vlad. Vlad had a career slash line of .318/.379/.553. His 162 game average was 34 HRs and 14 SB. Rose had a career slash line of .303/.375/.409. His 162 game average was 7 HR and 9 SB. I know who I would rather have in my lineup.
