If you miss 2 a days, your team wasn't doing them right.
We held ours at Pedernales State Park. I grew up in a time were we didn't have Gatorade or "Dri-Fit" shirts and jerseys. The only thing we could look forward to was getting into the Pedernales River after practice to help cool off. Those temperatures had to always hover around the 100s.

Sometimes we'd kill a couple of Indians or a mammoth on the way home from practice.
Bear Bryant was our waterboy, I taught him how to smoke cigarettes.

I bet you used to walk 10 miles in 10 feet of snow with 50 books in your backpack on the way to school while making sure you made breakfast for your siblings.
