It was a pretty star-studded bowl game.
NFL Players from that game:
LSU -- players in italics are NFL starters or have started at least one game:
- Odell Beckham Jr.
- Jarvis Landry
- Zach Mettenberger
- Jeremy Hill
- Alfred Blue
- Kwon Alexander
- Jalen Collins
- La'El Collins
- Ego Ferguson
- Anthony Johnson
- Bennie Logan
- Craig Loston
- Terrence Magee
- Jalen Mills
- Barkevious Mingo
- Sam Montgomery
- Kevin Minter
- Jermauria Rasco
- Eric Reid
- Russell Shepard
- Tharold Simon
- Spencer Ware
- Brad Wing
I know we have a couple other highly touted recruits that were drafted like Michael Ford, Kadron Boone, etc. but I'm not sure they are still on rosters. Then we had a couple other studs who were freshmen and still on the team, but they didn't have big impacts in this bowl game.
CLEMSON - Admittedly the names don't jump off the page to me quite as much, so I'm not sure if some of their O-line was drafted, but the big names really stick out
- Sammy Watkins
- Deandre Hopkins
- Tahj Boyd
- Andre Ellington
- Martavis Bryant
- Jaron Brown
- Chandler Catanzaro (K)
- Bashaud Breeland
- Stephone Anthony
- Vic Beasley
- Dwayne Allen
Probably forgetting a few, but no wonder Tahj Boyd was a heisman candidate. He had 6 NFL starters as skill players on the field with him. Looking back I'm definitely not as embarrassed about this loss. We still should've won, but I don't think many people realized how good that Clemson offense was

Right behind 1/9 in bowl games I'd like to forget.

I don't know, the Iowa Citrus Bowl ending was a calamity.

That game was doomed from start with Saban leaving. There was more personal pride lost that night with the talent we had on the field. I just wish we could schedule a home and home with Clemson and end all this crap.
