While watching the last of our three murdered officers funerals, I just wanted to express how proud I am of our local leaders. They have handled themselves with a dignity, respect, and honor that makes me proud to call Baton Rouge, LA my home.

While I might not agree with Gov. Edwards politics, he has shown to be a leader in some of the toughest times for our city. I thought his words today at Officer Jackson's funeral were fantastic and very appropriate.

Has any official showed the raw emotion of BRPD Police Chief Carl Dabadie Jr.? You can tell his words are real and the love that he has for his officers is amazing!

The picture of Sheriff Sid Gautreaux kneeling with his hand on Deputy Garafola's hearse is touching and like Chief Dabadie, he shows true leadership, and someone i'm sure officers love working for.

Proud of our State and City over the last few days!
