I bought one from Arms Merchant in Mandeville about 8 years ago and I had to wait 3 days. They ran a background check, which I assumed was standard. Is the 3-day hold not normal? I thought that was a law.

I've bought 3 in the past year, never taken more than 20 mins. Never heard of the waiting period in Louisiana
