The problem is that it SHOULD be irrelevant, but it isn't. The black on black crime rate is irrelevant to the discussion of whether or not police brutality is an issue, but when you call your movement Black Lives Matter, you make black on black crime an issue. When you post articles and rants saying that you have to tell your kids to fear for their life with the police, you make black on black crime an issue, because your kid is significantly more likely to be shot by his fricking neighbor than he is by the police.

As I've said numerous times, BLM took a noble and legitimate issue - police militarization and brutality - and obliterated it with racial overtones and purely ignorant arguments.
