Never realized this. I don't live in an area where a riot of any form is even remotely probable, but if a riot was threatening my house, can I use deadly force to defend it? I mean I could probably claim I feel threatened... Just trying to figure out what you can do to stop some group of jackasses from bankrupting a person.

Rule of thumb..Don't ever shoot them in the back. As long as it hits them in the front you should be good Tough to explain or justify shooting someone who's running away
