The person that knocked on the door last season was a cop arresting him for hacking the dog owner. He was made up a world around him in prison
Leon is just another inmate. His mom is a guard. The meeting with Gideon was very prison like, notice how he walked off from it.

That's a good theory. Looks like they may be changing the settings this season, if that holds, lots of this, and S1, could just be in his head.
They cut him off / away from his sister too, but it's still early.

So how was he able to talk to Krista? Did she come to the prison?
