I think the only thing anyone really agrees on is that Season 5 was probably the weakest season. The entire time given to Dorne was a huge mistake. I'm so happy they stayed away from Dorne except for episode 1 & 10 of Season 6

Season 5 was definitely a weak season and story development. Mereen, Dorne, and Braavos just sucked the life out of the show. Even when Jon Snow was killed at season's end, to me it was a " meh" moment. Hardhome was a great episode but I can't really want to remember or care to anyway the rest of the season.
Season 4 is fantastic in so many good ways like others have said.

I chose season 1 over season 6 bc I had not known the show was based off books till halfway thru and everything was done great and the way Ned was killed was a complete shock to me. Lots more sex in Season 1 too.
