For big redfish Dixey Bar is the spot. The most productive time is the last two hours of the falling tide. Don't even bother on the rising. And the first part of the falling you will mostly catch sharks.
Bait is big croakers. They was a bait barge at Billy Goat hole where you could buy them.

Basically run up on the Ft Morgan side of the mouth east side of the ship channel and drift. Do not anchor. You'll just piss people off. You'll drift just south of the land and you get shallow. Crank up and run north again.

Other than that triple tail on the bayside. Fish for them by pillings, channel markers etc.

Also the cut should have plenty of fish right now.
