In my unit in Barstow, I was the Marine that would retrain those nasty remedial maggots. It was fun for me, but most of them hated me. At the time I was only a Lance Corporal, and I would often have a Cpl or a Sgt under my care...it began as an awkward experience, but they soon fell in-line. Fortunately, though, I would only have a small group at a time (3-7). Marines, for the most part, are more physically fit than the other branches.

Were you Supply or some other administrative MOS? There's no way this would fly in any combat-oriented unit. My command would have had the NCOs get their shite together or they would be admin-sep'd.
