The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time

The e3 hype for the new zelda was so strong I bought a refurbished Wii U and downloaded OoT.
I've never played any zelda except maybe a link to the past on Nintendo 25 years ago, so its all new to me.
Even though the game is 18 years old, it holds up very well.
The graphics obviously aren't great but that's fine.
The story is interesting. Combat is fun. Solving puzzles and trying to complete quests has been a blast.
I've had to use a guide a few times. I couldn't imagine trying to figure this shite out without help.
I've just completed the fire temple. It's been my favorite temple, so far.
OoT veterans know what temple is next. I'm nervous and scared .
The forest temple took me forever. The boss fight wrecked me.
In summary, I see why OoT is the GOAT. So far it's lived up to all the hype I have heard about it.
Wish me luck..I'm going in the Water...
What should my order be?
OOT
MM
Then tp, ss, ww?

quote:OoT, MM, and TP are all in the same timeline branch so that would probably be the best path. After that it's just whatever fits your fancy.

Don't use the guide for the water temple.
It's a good one

I don't think any of those OoT temples are hard. Just don't have a shtty memory and be patient. IDK how adults get stressed out if 7th grade me had no issues with it.
I'm a MM fan, but mostly because i'm a little darker then most and like the feeling of hopeless you get from start to finish with that title. Its also the main reason I love Valve games so much like Half-Life and Portal.

Water Temple made my arse quit when I was like 8 years old

quote:I would just play them in order of release. The Zelda timeline is nonsense largely made up by Nintendo (and fans) after the fact to appease the hardcore. I think it's far more interesting to see the evolution of the game design, which a release date order gives you.
What should my order be?
So after OOT, do like everyone does. Play Majora's Mask for a few hours, decide you don't like it and then move on to Wind Waker. Continue from there.

I always enjoyed not using a shield.

Lol, I remember when it first hit Blockbuster, they had 5 copies of the game and all but one was rented out. I was with my cousin at the time and I saw it first, but he grabbed it and we nearly got into a fist fight over who got to rent it first.
