Ya I didn't listen to any Charleston shows but tour openers are usually pretty rough. Hoping they get some momentum going tonight in Nashville but not going in with high expectations or anything.
That is a bith harsh on all tunes post farmhouse missing some great 2.0 songs such as:
Pebbles & Marbles, Seven Below, 46 Days, Walls of the Cave, Scents and Subtle Sounds, A song I heard the ocean sing, Undermind

Agree. Hopefully they step it up. Pretty disappointing start.

Disagree. I went to night 2, and had a great time. The first-timer I brought along loved it, and she's already asking about seeing 'em again. The crowd was definitely into it, and actually seemed somewhat familiar with the new-ish stuff....more familiar than I was, I'll say that

I admit the abundance of new material was a little jarring, but I've warmed up to it a bunch since I've been listening to the download. It's not a top-10 show for me by any stretch, but I got my money's worth & have no regrets about attending.
I remembered when the '97 tunes were brand new, and people grumbled when there were too many of those songs played in the same show...nowadays, most people would be delighted to get a "Ghost", "Piper", "Twist", "Carini", etc. all in one night. I'll take a "wait and see" attitude before passing final judgement on this current batch of tunes...
ETA: Bring on the downvotes, I wear 'em like a badge of honor.
