Like what??????Aside from a few channels there wasn't much difference in what was on back then...............

There are a lot more channel offerings now compared to 20 years ago. And now you have streaming media like Netflix that eats into TV ratings.

TV ratings as a whole are lower on network telivision now. Shows averaging over 10 million people an episode happened all the time. People are cutting the cord, cable TV is so much bigger now, etc.
