Thanks. Yea it would need to be tucked out of the way securely. Wire is so fine I am having trouble splicing it to the longer wire needed to connect to battery.

Use marine speaker wire. I found it works best for the small led wires. Worked fine when I wired my last boat. Mine from this weekend

Solder it near the source to some heavier gauge and then add some strain relief to make sure it doesn't get accidentally pulled apart.
