Most companies I would think don't pay salaried employees overtime.

That's the point. You get paid the same if you work 35 hours or 45 hours.

If you are always working overtime then maybe it's time you have a talk and request more money according to your work.

But with salary usually comes paid vacation. So really you can't bitch because you aren't getting time and a half.

You are compensated in other ways.


Bonuses, paid lunch, paid vacation.

In my experience hourly employees don't get those benefits, but they also get more time off when requested.
