How in the frick do you FORGET and child in a car......YOU HAVE ONE frickING JOB....

That's most likely the issue here. Let me start by saying I'm not condemning 2 working parent households. For some it is a necessity. Bbut I'm willing to guess that in 90%+ of these cases, the child is in a 2 working parent household.

Most of the time, the child is on their way to daycare, something unnecessary in a one working parent household. Often it seems (as in this case) the child was being taken to daycare by the parent who doesn't usually do that.

My theory is in this case is, mom works and usually takes baby to daycare at 700-800 am. Dad is a teacher and now has summers off, so he's responsible for baby during summer. BUT, this week he has camp, so he was bringing baby in to daycare later than usual, but instead once he was in the car, he went into routine mode and drove straight to the school like he'd done all year. Baby fell asleep bc it was 845 am and she probably still naps in the morning.

Daycare didn't call parents once baby didn't show up bc dad is taking summers off. They probably thought someone mixed up the dates and just didn't worry about it (and I imagine they probably get a lot busier come summer from all the kids who are normally in regular school).

So in answer to this... no, he didn't have one job, he had 2. His regular job and his baby. The baby should have been job #1, but unfortunately was not.

I'm a SAHM, and my kids quite literally ARE my job. The only way I'm forgetting about them is if I develop amnesia.

RIP this sweet baby.
