I was surprised they weren't at least a regional host. I think you could have at least made an argument that they MAY have been deserving of a top 8 seed. They certainly didn't hide from anybody in the non-conf. portion of their schedule. They played games against:

NC State - Lost 13-10, then obviously won their regional
Ohio State - Lost 6-4
Duke - Won 10-6
Ole Miss - Lost 8-2
Wake Forest - Lost 11-10 and Won 7-6
UNC Wilmington - Won 6-4
South Carolina - Lost 4-2
Georgia Tech - Swept 9-1, 9-8, 4-2

All were NCAAT teams.
