I wouldn't be totally opposed to that either...

Still though there is a major amount of both front and back court talent, so I do understand why they keep those spots there. At the same time, while there is still significant C talent in the league, it is playing a smaller and smaller role in many teams (most notable Golden State). I'm not sure that the designation of Center deserves protection at this point.

Well Green got fricked out of a 1st team center spot because he received more votes as a forward...and when that happens the voting system categorizes you as forward instead.

He would have been first team.

Point being as long as their talent at center, the position should be recognized. It's the heart of defense.

Also, the league went through a 10 year cycle of bad or injured centers.

They are coming back now.
