OUr first was a boy, and the second a girl. Other than daycare and formula, we really didn't notice a huge increase in expenses. Daughter didn't take to the breastmilk, so $20-$30 per week on formula added up.


As for clothes, my mom was desperate for a girl and went nuts with clothes buying so we really never had to buy clothes. When we did, we had a couple of friends that had daughters a year or two older and we just bought their used clothes from them. Or just went to Target and got some cheap stuff.
