On the one hand I'd love to have driverless cars for the convenience of reading, taking a nap, eating, drinking, texting, etc. while commuting.

But on the other hand it's only a matter of time before it will be abused. I can see someone in power using car automation to keep people from election polls. Or giving preference treatment to certain vehicles. Like having cars move out of your way similar to ambulances and firetrucks.

Or when an accident is about to happen the cars react to be the safest for one guy and not necessary what's safest for all.
