Absolutely. I got one of those as a present for finishing grad school. I planned on using it in the "real world" and brought it with me to work every day along with my Razr....I barely used that fricker. Such a waste of money.
If I can recall, these were the pre-smartphone era phones I had:
Nokia 5110: first I had a basic black, then got a red one
Ericsson t60: had a red one
but I wanted mainly because you could create your own midi file ringtones on it 
Motorolla Razr: such a good device

I had this bad boy, too. And I had different face plates to match whatever shirt I was wearing that day.
