quote:and then people get to make hundreds of millions of dollars off their little in between activity?
because their job is to go to class and be students while also playing football.
quote:please explain to me why this is right
Ya know, not being paid for their services.
quote:and their jobs literally come off the back of these adults who they exploit
..this is literally their actual job which necessitates compensation.

these kids are getting 6 figures worth of free shite that the normal college student doesn't.

"The average athletic scholarship is about $10,400"
here says a mens athletic scholarship is worth $14,270
quote:which is worth pennies over the hundreds of million of dollars they provide the school with
Free housing, free food, unlimited access to tutors and private instruction, health/medical coverage, free clothes, a tryout 12 times a year to their future employer showing their worth, etc.

The day college fb players get paid legally is the day CFB as we've known it will die.
please tell me how big of an amateur sport it is right now. schools sell tshirts and jersies with players numbers on them. they build 100k stadiums that require PSLs to buy season tickets for. they sell media rights that are worth like 1/3 or 1/2 of a billion dollars. but yea, totally an armature sport

The average athletic scholarship is about $10,400. Only four sports offer full rides to all athletes who receive scholarships: football, men's and women's basketball, and women's volleyball. If you exclude football and men's basketball, the average scholarship drops to around $8,700.
So let me get this straight. This bitch is telling us that if you are a man, your scholarship is worth more at the same school, than a woman?
Literally. It says that if you exclude the men's sports from the 4 that pay full scholarships, the average tuition amount drops? This can't be right?
