Depends on the situation. I work with someone that is very obese. Had gastric bypass and over the last few years gained it all back. How do you do it twice?
For those saying they are happy that way, I don't buy it for most. I don't buy it that someone would rather to be overweight than thin. When I hear that I think they would rather be overweight than take the effort to change.

It's a mental issue. People who feel so hopeless with their weight that they get gastric bypass surgery should be seeing therapists. It's no surprise to me that the majority of bypass patients gain most, if not all, of the weight back. They are treating the symptom of mental issues, not the actual problems.
