Yeahhhhh. It's pretty unfortunate because I was so in to what I thought infimate was going to be about and was disappointed. Not to say it isn't a good game. Slowly became a CoD campaign.

Would have been better as a stealth game with ammo scarcity

Well, it is a first person shooter. The battle arenas get old, but you're so op that waves of enemies are just fish in a barrel. They also allow you to strategize with the Vigors or skylines.
Infinite is a flawed game, and it definitely could have been executed better in some areas but the backlash against it was totally unwarranted. You can't judge a game based on what it could have been or what one wished it was. I remember critics and fans bitching about the violence - 'such a beautiful game and setting and then you tear someone's face off.' It's a game about a violent man in a violent stucco facade of a world -- Columbia really isn't a city, it's a wmd.
As far as the e3 footage goes, yeah I wish the skylines were as expansive and dense as they are in the footage but you probably have consoles to blame for that. No doubt that was their original vision but was probably unplayable on PS3 and xbox360 - which already looks fricking rough in places.
