Back when I was about 12yr old, my buddy got bit by a big rattlesnake. I was freaking out, asking what I needed to do to help him. He told me and I couldn't figure how it would help, but I did it anyway.
So I'm sitting there telling him stories, and he's getting weaker the whole time. After about an hour, he lost consciousness and later died.
To this day, I can't help but think that if I had just known the difference between anecdote and antidote, my friend might still be alive![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconwah.gif)
